Since 1972, Velvin & Weeks Consulting Engineers, Inc. has designed the embankment and spillways for numerous small and medium sized earthen dams in Texas. Additionally, we have performed the hydraulic analysis and developed plans and specifications for repair and/or rehabilitation of many structures which either failed or were found to be unsafe.

We work closely with the client to determine his or her requirements and wishes. We are especially sensitive to creating the type of reservoir environment the owner is seeking whether it is fish habitat, garden or rustic.

Service spillways can be drop inlet, ogee, siphon or other configurations depending on the owner’s desires and the hydraulic requirements.

Our firm is associated with consultants in other disciplines such as surveying, geotechnical and environmental in order to offer a complete package service to the client.

In addition to the above, we also offer assistance in permitting, flood routing, computer modeling and dam safety inspections.
